Nokia 5530 XpressMusic with Touchscreen Phone
Nokia 5530 XpressMusic
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic unlocked phone keeps you moving to your favorite music while on the go as well as helps you stay connected to all of your mobile communication--from voice and messaging to social networking and web browsing. The sleek 5530 features a stainless steel body, tempered glass 2.9-inch touchscreen and built-in audio speakers, and it provides quad-band GSM connectivity for global roaming and EDGE data connectivity for accessing your favorite web sites. Additionally, it's Wi-Fi-enabled for accessing wireless networks at home, at the office, and at hotspots wherever you roam--from airports to coffee shops.

This is one of the best phones on the market right now, and it has received little attention! The 5530 is really in the class of phones priced $100-$150 higher. I have been researching phones for months now, and this is the only unlocked phone with a 3.2 MP camera, touchscreen, stylus and wi-fi all together for anywhere under 250 dollars. The only competitors that come close, Samsung tocco lite and LG cookie don't have wi-fi, and the Nokia E63 has a terrible camera and no touchscreen. This phone is a perfect combination of business featured smartphone and young and trendy media-phone.

Pros:
The unit is dead simple to get started with. Took my simcard from my ATT locked phone and dropped it in, and I was ready to go within a minute of opening the box.
The "Symbian S60v5" OS is quite advanced and has features that the iPhone doesn't have.
  • multitasking : you can stream Last.FM and chat on IM (try using Pandora and AOL on the iPhone)
  • theme/skinning without hacking the phone
  • tethering without jailbreaking the phone
  • Flash for web content (not full Flash 10, so no Hulu, but YouTube works).
  • You can get apps from other places than the App Store (more like the Mac than the iPhone). Just download the .sisx file, and it installs.
  • Good responsive touch screen
  • Excellent camera, photos come out with excellent quality
  • Stable and powerful OS. You can run many applications at one time, and it does not crash. It is easy and intuitive to use, similar to a computer. It is also very capable, and can do many things a computer can: cut, copy and paste, downloading and installing applications etc.
  • Stylish looking, both outside and user interface
  • Good full HTML web browser
  • QWERTY keyboard upon rotating the phone in almost all applications

Siemens SL65 Ivory
Siemens SL65 Ivory GSM Cell Phone. We begin the SL65 to accomplish absolutely able-bodied with buzz calls. It was bright and loud, alike aback on handsfree. However, we begin the sliding action on the SL65 to be a bit difficult. Unlike Samsung's D500 and E800, area the slide-up movement feels spring-loaded, we had to accord the SL65 an added advance to accelerate it accessible or close, sometimes mucking up the awning with thumbprints in the process.

For those not accustomed with Siemens' card anatomy the abridgement of things like a "back" advantage can be ambagious -- we eventually realised that we had to columnist the aeronautics key larboard to go aback to the antecedent menu. Another blank from the SL65 is emoticons. It may assume atomic but smiley faces are important in today's argument messaging world.

Technology-wise, the Siemens SL65 is a added acceptable another to its little sibling, the SL55. Its awning is added colourful, there is a congenital VGA camera and it has added memory. Unfortunately, this comes at the amount of admeasurement -- it is beyond and heavier.

Aside from actuality a camera phone, the SL65 additionally takes ample videos up to 30 abnormal in length. The videos and images can be beatific with argument and complete via e-mail or MMS.

Users can affairs specific profiles to clothing their needs. For instance, you can access the aggregate of your ringtone for your "noisy environment" contour so you can apprehend it while walking about the burghal or set it to bashful for use in boardroom meetings.

Like the SL55, the Siemens SL65 doesn't accept Bluetooth wireless connectivity but has a agenda articulation recorder and easily chargeless capability.

Other appearance of the SL65 accommodate downloadable Java games, screensaver, annual phonebook, alarm, admonition list, admission timer and calendar. It can additionally accelerate SMS, MMS and e-mail (once your annual is set up) and synchronise with Microsoft Outlook.

The SL65 has a advanced ambit of logos, backgrounds and about 40 polyphonic ringtones for users to accept from. Don't apprehend all of them to be acceptable but at atomic there is variety.

Although we didn't absolutely booty that abounding photos and videos with the SL65, the 10.3MB anamnesis is said to be able of autumn up to 100 video clips and added than 200 shots. Unfortunately there is no congenital beam with the camera for demography photos at night.

It's attainable from the moment you anatomy the F900 out of the box that the handset has been heavily afflicted by the architectonics of HTC's Draft HD. Samsung Glyde U940 Touchscreen Phone Reviews
Samsung Glyde U940 Touchscreen Phone
Samsung Glyde U940 Touchscreen Phone Reviews. A powerful and sleek multimedia and messaging phone, the Samsung Glyde for Verizon boasts a robust feature-set, an innovative and colorful touchscreen, and full QWERTY keyboard. The 2.8-inch advanced touchscreen offers a tactile response as you tap onscreen buttons, and the slide-out QWERTY makes it easy to stay in contact via text and instant messaging. It's compatible with Verizon's V Cast Music Service, which enables you to purchase songs through your phone and download them via Verizon's fast EV-DO data network. You'll also stay on course thanks to the VZ Navigator GPS turn-by-turn direction service. Other features include a 2.0-megapixel camera, microSD memory expansion (up to 8 GB), Bluetooth connectivity for both communication headsets and stereo headphones, and up to 3.5 hours of talk time.

Great phone in brand new condition despite saying refurbished. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it did not come with original samsung battery. When tried to charge it with the power on would not let you because it is not a certified samsung battery. However if you turn the phone off it will charge. Packaging and shipping was not a issue at all. Came well packed with handbook and wall charger. Phone was easily upgraded to verizon account with no problems. Siemens SX66 PDA Phone Spec and Reviews

Siemens SX66 PDA Phone Spec and Reviews
Siemens SX66 PDA Phone Spec and Reviews
Siemens SX66 PDA Phone is a WIndows CE based Smartphone designed for business use. For Consumer purposes it is a bit of an overkill and is not particularly optimized for some entertainment purposes. This review is written mostly with business use in mind (I use it with a Goodlink e-mail client) I also include some consumer comments at the end.

Screen and Input modes.
The SX66 includes a large screen that fits more elements than other smaller screen phones. This is particularly useful to browse through e-mails. It gives you a choice of typing via a qwerty keyboard or through a virtual keyboard and your stylus. It includes many programmable keys that are mapped to many Windows applications, such as Explorer, e-mail, calendaring, tasks and phone answer/hang up.

Other useful tools
for talking you can use it as any phone, use its wired headset (included) or use its speakerphone. You can also use it in combination with a bluetooth wireless earpiece. It also has a built in camera and a voice recorder.

Business Applications
As many other Windows CE handhelds (PDAs or smartphones) you can find many applications both for business as well as for consumer purposes. Coupled with an e-mail business client software (e.g. Goodlink) you can have Blackberry-like functionality as your e-mails, meetings and other corporate e-mail items can be pushed into your handheld via GPRS or WiFi. One nice thing about the SX66 vs. Blackberry is that the SX66 with the included software can open most MS Office attachments (and you can even edit some of them).

Using this phone for business apps (e-mail, calendar, etc) this phone is a great tool. Its large screen and its keyboard options allow for great e-mail reading and for composing short e-mails and SMS messages. For large e-mails, honestly, your notebook is a much better tool.

Battery Usage / Power Options
Battery duration is good but not great for regular phone use, it will typically last one day. If you use it heavily for e-mail or for PDA apps (e.g. taking notes) its battery life greatly diminishes to less than one day. There are many packages in the market so you can charge it in the middle of the day via USB, USB cradle, car charger or regular power adapters. The good news in any of them is that it charges really quickly, so can be back to full charge in about 1 hr.

Networking options
The networking options are many and very useful. It can operate on quad-band GSM (operates in most countries), it can hook to GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth nets. It also has infrared connectivity to connect to other portable devices. GPRS is available in most GSM cellular networks, and it will give you pretty much ubiquitous access but slow speeds (it is good for e-mail clients, as they typically push text into the handhelds), for faster access use WiFi and connect in the same networks you connect on your notebook.

Consumer usage
  • Not as good performing video. I have tried a couple of times to play home videos (e.g. 30 sec shots taken with my digital camera) and it has basically stalled and taken long to recover.
  • Not as good performing games, its video performance makes it unpractical.
  • Built in camera lacks the quality and resolution and is below some lower cost phones.
PROs
  • Large screen, larger than most phones in the market.
  • Variety of input modes.
  • Variety of tools.
  • Very good software included out of the box.
  • Pre-programmed buttons allow quick access to most useful functions.
  • Variety of Wireless networks to connect.
  • Good-sized memory included, can be increased greatly using an SD-Card.
CONs
  • Battery life is limited. Needs midday recharging if you use PDA or e-mail heavily trough the day.
  • Included camera has very limited resolution, pictures come out with a lot of noise and its colors are not that great.
  • Lack of EDGE networks support.
  • A bit heavy and large format, you need to use its carrying case.
  • Video playing is very poor. Don't even bother trying.

HTC Freestyle Phone Reviews
HTC Freestyle Phone AT&T. Featuring a premium design with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display clad in an aluminum unibody construction, the HTC Freestyle is the first of a new generation of quick messaging phones from AT&T to run on Brew Mobile Platform. The Brew MP operating system allows AT&T and software developers to more easily offer smartphone-like applications to those who want an affordable, full-featured messaging phone.

I received my new HTC Freestyle a couple of weeks ago. The phone has a slick interface, it's solidly built, and it is about as nice a non-smartphone as I've messed with anywhere. The only problem is the buggy text messaging software. I've had a consistent problem with receiving multiple copies of text messages. After getting the runaround from AT&T tech support and HTC tech support, I had the device exchanged for another one- only to have the same issue. Lo and behold, on the forums 'Freestyle receives multiple texts...' is quite the discussion topic. HTC tech support finally admitted that it is a major issue, and they are apparently working on a firmware update to fix the problem- but they wouldn't give me a release date or even a time frame for the fix. If having your phone go off six to ten times for the same text message annoys you, steer clear of this one. That really is my only complaint, and as soon as it is fixed I will happily amend this review to five stars. Anyone else with this problem PLEASE speak up, if we put enough pressure on HTC maybe they will fix it faster.

The call quality is great and quite loud. The ringer volume is quite loud also. The vibration is strong. The phone feels like a quality phone in your hand. My husband likes my phone so much he is considering one for himself. It takes great pictures, the touch screen is very responsive. The volume and the sound is great, it has a large selection of ring tones and volume controls. You can customoze this phone in so many ways as well. I would like a timer on it, but so far thats the only negative with the phone, and thats not too big of a deal. I think data plans are a phone company rip off, and you don't need one with this phone. If I want the internet I will open my laptop. I can say with out hesitation, this is a very good phone. I also like the size, its not too small, just the right fit. When you pick it up, it feels very strong and well built. The camara has some really nice features, it works well for one, but you can zoom into the picture you took and then wait a second, and then it will focus the picture. I like that you can also identify contacts with a picture if you want. There are so many things about the phone that are great. This is simply a great phone, I confidently give it five stars!
